Mission Statement
The aim of our experiment is to determine the effectiveness of different surfaces in overcoming the squeeze film and other forces to induce adherence of water droplets under zero gravity conditions. A product must be designed and constructed that will allow a safe, reliable and informative experiment to be run that will test the effectiveness of different surfaces to induce adherence of the water droplets. This product must meet the safety and content qualifications of NASA. After training provided by NASA, the experiment will then be tested using the C-9 jet. The jet will fly approximately 30 parabolic maneuvers per flight, each parabola giving approximately 30 seconds of free-fall and zero gravity simulation during which the experiment will be run.
